(Whistleblower Protection Act — HinSchG)
Introduction / Scope
The provisions of the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) apply to Zukunft beginnt im Kopf Dienstleistungsgesellschaft mbH. This information is intended for employees, contractors, applicants, suppliers, customers, and other whistleblowers. The HinSchG applies to our area from October 9, 2025; we apply the regulations voluntarily.

Anonymous reports and confidentiality
Anonymous reports are possible. If you report anonymously, please note that follow-up questions and further investigations may be limited.
All incoming reports are treated confidentially. The identity of the whistleblower will only be disclosed to those persons who need this information for processing purposes.
Technical and organizational measures: Access restrictions, encryption of forms/emails, logging, and retention periods are observed (details in the internal policy).
Protection against discrimination (anti-retaliation)
Whistleblowers enjoy protection against discrimination as a result of a report. Disadvantages include, among other things, dismissal, warnings, transfers, discrimination, bullying, or other adverse measures.
We will take all reasonable measures to prevent retaliation. If retaliation is found to have occurred, internal sanctions will follow, up to and including termination of employment or civil/criminal proceedings.
If you feel that you are being discriminated against because of a report, please report this immediately to our internal reporting office; such reports will be treated as a priority.
Report processing procedure and deadlines
Confirmation of receipt: You will receive a confirmation of receipt by email immediately after receipt, at the latest within 7 calendar days of receipt of your report (unless anonymous).
Preliminary measures/review: The report will first be reviewed for plausibility and severity; if necessary, preliminary protective measures will be initiated.
Final information: Within 3 weeks, whistleblowers, unless anonymous, will receive feedback on the measures taken or the outcome. In complex cases, this period may be extended, stating the reasons.
Documentation: Each report is documented and stored in an audit-proof manner.
Data protection and data deletion
Processing: We process personal data in connection with reports on the basis of legal regulations and to fulfill our obligations under the HinSchG (German Whistleblower Protection Act) or on the basis of legitimate interests in investigating violations.
Retention periods: Report data is only stored for as long as is necessary for processing, legal obligations, or internal archiving purposes. Standard period: 12 months, unless other legal periods apply.
Rights of data subjects: Whistleblowers and data subjects can request information, correction, and, if necessary, restriction of processing; Objections and requests for deletion will be reviewed in accordance with statutory retention obligations.
Training and prevention
Our employees receive regular training on compliance, whistleblower protection, and handling reports.
We continuously review and improve our processes to protect whistleblowers and process reports effectively.
Sanctions against retaliatory measures
Persons who take retaliatory measures against whistleblowers will be subject to disciplinary and, if necessary, legal action. Specific measures: warning, transfer, dismissal, criminal charges.
